WHAT IS A WINTER TUNE UP
A 3 hour focused coaching session designed to get you riding well again after time off the board.
In a 3 hour session, we refresh the fundamentals that make the biggest difference (stance, balance, edge control, pressure, and turn shape), so your riding feels smoother, more controlled, and more predictable.
You’ll leave with a few clear focus points and simple cues you can take straight onto the mountain so day one of your trip feels like you’ve already warmed up, rather than spending half the holiday finding your feet.
COACHED BY A BASI LEVEL 3 ISIA INSTRUCTOR
Chris is a BASI Level 3 ISIA qualified instructor. You’ll get clear feedback, simple progressions, and why each drill matters so you leave knowing what to change and how to practise it.
WHY THIS IS FOR YOU
Winter Tune Up is for anyone who can already snowboard, or those who have had some time off their board. It's also ideal if you’ve got a winter holiday coming up and you want to make the most of it from day one.
You’ll leave with:
A clear idea of what to work on (and what to do next)
Personal cues and drills you can repeat on your own
Video feedback (where possible)
HOW DOES A WINTER TUNE UP WORK?
Simple, structured, and focused on the biggest wins first.
Quick meet & greet: what each rider wants to improve
Shared focus chosen on the day: your coach picks the theme that best fits the group
Coaching + feedback loops: you get individual cues and drills within the shared theme
Mid-session debrief: quick reset and clear next steps
Finish with consistency: apply it again and leave knowing what to practise next
SESSION DETAILS
Location: The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead
Session Length: 3 hours
Group size: Maximum 4 riders
Equipment: Available to hire if needed
Prerequisites: Basic control - linked turns, stopping, and safe button lift use
Arrival & meeting point: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time for a quick debrief. Your booking confirmation email will include the meeting point details.
Age: 18+ only. If you’re looking for youth coaching, contact us and we’ll point you to the best option.

Lift pass not included - this will need to be purchased separately from The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead.
